Brand Information
Creating the lifestyle of the future with natural materials and craftsmanship
Proposing a lifestyle that is kind to the mind and body through sustainable furniture
Takumi, which started in 2010 as a small workshop renovated from an old house in Kyoto, is a furniture brand that values the warmth and vitality of natural materials.
Our skilled craftsmen carefully craft each piece so as not to damage the individuality of the wood. We use wood that is harvested sustainably from domestic forests, and by reusing surplus materials for accessories and miscellaneous goods, we reduce resource waste.
We believe that furniture is not just a household item, but something that creates a space where family bonds can be nurtured. For this reason, we strive to create products that are durable enough to be used for 10 or 20 years, and have timeless designs.
Coexistence with nature
We prioritize the use of domestic timber, which is produced with less deforestation, and continue to work to minimize CO2 emissions during the processing process.
The light of craftsmanship
Craftsmen with over 20 years of experience handcraft furniture that makes the most of the individuality of the wood. They do not rely on mechanization and are mindful of careful craftsmanship.
Permanent Living
We believe in the value of "continuing to use carefully" rather than "disposable," and we support long-term use by providing renovation services and part replacement.
